All These Scraps is built so that we never see your data. This policy is short because there isn't much to say — and that's the point.
Your scraps live in your iCloud
Everything you create — scraps, piles, checklists, attachments, recordings — is stored on your devices and synced through your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. It counts against your iCloud storage, is protected by your Apple Account, and is never transmitted to servers we operate. We operate no servers.
We collect nothing
The app has no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no accounts of ours. We cannot read your scraps, your shared piles, or anything else. Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple; we receive no payment details.
Sharing
When you share a pile, Apple's CloudKit sharing delivers it to the people who open your invitation link, under their Apple Accounts. Anyone with the link can open and edit the pile, so you decide who has access by choosing who you send it to. Locked scraps are never shared. They sync only through your own iCloud account.
On-device features
Siri, Shortcuts, Spotlight indexing, and the optional local Claude connection all run on your device. The Claude connection (macOS) is off by default, reachable only from your own computer, and excludes locked scraps.
This website
This website (not the app) uses Google Analytics to count visits so we know if anyone's reading. The app itself contains no analytics of any kind.
